The year of 2020 has been one of the most challenging and toughest years of our lifetimes. People are suffering, feeling helpless, lonely, panic and worried about health, jobs, money and social relations, which eventually leads to the increasing rate of mental illness. We understand that there is no easy fix for recovering from mental illness. We need time and patience to adapt to this new normal, finding our energy source and motivation to face those life challenges. It might sound difficult on how to stay positive throughout the pandemic, but this is not impossible. Bearing this in mind, we are all in this together. Hence, be positive and spread your positivity today!

FEEDBACK

Week 5 :

Everyone did well in this Project 2A/Exercise 1. For Project 2B, Mr. Fauzi suggested me to change my title to "Be positive and spread your positivity today". Slogan could be "Together we can get through this pandemic". I need to add one more sentence for my call for action.

Week 6 :

Good sketch for Project 2B. The idea for Mockup 1 and 3 is good. Sir suggested me to go with Mockup 3, and asked me to hold the real flowers because if I take the pictures from Internet, it is difficult to get the correct perspective.

Week 7 :

Good progress of Project 2B. Mr. Fauzi said my attempt #3 is the best version. He suggested me to move down the slogan and make it more visible. For the call for action and details, I can put them in the centre as every information is already centralised. I can maintain the photography and the illustration.

Week 8 :

Independent learning week, no feedback was given.

Week 9 :

Mr. Fauzi said the new picture I took for the poster design is a better version. Good effort and keep up the good work!

REFLECTION

In Project 2A, I have learnt a bunch of techniques in class, and I am glad to be abled to apply my knowledge in completing the tasks. This project trained my observation skills as I need to edit the images and make sure they look as realistic as possible. Before I do the recolouring exercise, I never thought I could easily turn a black and white image to colour image. This is really cool and I enjoyed the process of recolouring them.

In Project 2B, I have learnt how to capture a good image. I played with lighting and composition in order to get the most attractive image. We also get to exposed on how to convey our ideas in a poster. Other than the technical skills, I am also aware of the mental issues occurring around me as I carried out research before developing the poster. Overall, it is fun to produce a poster with the mixture of real photographs and illustrations.
