FEEDBACK
Week 13:
General feedback
For Task 4, students are required to reflect on the entire journey, not just submitting a compilation of the works. Students are encouraged to write a script before recording the presentation so that we can take control of the timing. Remember there are marks for the visuals.
Week 14:
There is no class this week and will be replaced on Week 15.
Week 15:
General feedback
Extra data collected should be documented in the reflection report. Dr. Hayati wanted us to aim for the full marks.
REFLECTION
At the end of the day, I understand that this module is necessary in everyone’s education journey. One of the reasons to engage in research is because it helps to enhance our knowledge. Learning never end, there is always more knowledge to uncover and explore. It also helps to foster the critical thinking and analytical skills in problem-solving.
I have learnt the knowledge I am intended to learn, but also learnt a lot that I did not intend to learn. Research is a new journey for me to discover new knowledge and skills on designing a successful character, which are going to be helpful for my future study. I also found myself in the journey of learning how to ask better questions to get better answers. It is important to not be biased so that the results will be more accurate and avoid distorted conclusions.
However, it is undeniable that the process is tedious. Sometimes, it is completely normal to feel stressed, frustrated and burnt-out. It took a lot of time and effort to find credible sources and make sure the information gathered is accurate and reliable. There are always ups and downs, twists and turns in these 14 weeks, or 15 to be exact. I am proud of what I have done so far as I have given my very best and taken every single task seriously. I am grateful to have the lecturer’s guidance and the peers’ support in helping me to complete the first part of the story —— Design Research Methodology. The second part of the story will be tougher but I believed in a quote once cited by John Wooden, “As long as you try your best, you are never a failure.”
